JJ Watt’s Softball Game is a Sell-Out

As reported in the following Click2Houston.com article, JJ Watt’s inaugural Charity Classic softball game filled Constellation Field to capacity, with thousands of fans coming out to cheer on their favorite Texans players and raise over $300,000 in the process. The event was an overwhelming success. “Couldn’t have scripted it any better,” said JJ. “Couldn’t have asked for a better crowd, better players, better product on the field.”

J.J. Receives Ovation Award from Houston Grand Opera

Tonight J.J. received the Ovation Award. Below is his statement upon receiving the award.
The best part about my job as a professional athlete is being able to use this platform to help affect the lives of others. To help get a positive message out to our country’s youth and encourage them to stand up and work towards their dreams and goals. There is a lot of negativity in today’s world and everywhere you look, it seems as though someone is trying to bring you down rather than help you rise up. That is why I am grateful and honored to accept this Ovation Award and to be part of this great group of people who are working hard to make the world a better place. I am proud to represent the great people of Houston and I will always work hard both on and off the field to make you proud of me. Thank you to the Houston Grand Opera and everyone who voted for me. Have a great night!
